Default Away for 10 months and a few Q's

Hey all! Been away for quite a while since I needed to finish up some worldy deeds. Anyway, anything new? I used to farm with my monk using the ole Superior Runes thing, that been fixed yet? Any new horrible scams I should know about? Green weapon worth anything LoL! Hey I got a gold Prince Rurik for my birthday present, what's he good for?

ANYWAY, I'll be running around here and there, say hello if you want to! And any answers to these Q's and other ones I'll be coming up with is greatly appreciated!

Well, first of all, welcome back to the game!

55 Monking is still around, but soloing the Underworld has gotten much tougher and slower due to Nightmares who use Rend Enchantments on you. The most efficient way to take down the Underworld is through 2-man 55 Monk and SS Necro or Dual SB monk and a Smiter. The farming section in this forum should be able to fill you in on the details.

New scams? I suppose the "OMFG I CAN DUPE ECTOS" thing is the most common now =/

Green weapons are worth pretty pennies still. If you look in the Price Check section in this forum you will be able to find the prized greens.

You are very lucky to get a gold Prince Rurik for your birthday present. Exceptionally rare in my opinion. He is a mini-pet. You click on him while outside town and have him follow you around. He doesn't fight or aggro, he's just an adorable companion. If you aren't interested in keeping him, you could sell him for quite a fair amount of gold (Approx. 100k the last time I checked..which was a few weeks ago).

Catch up on the updates at guildwars.com... there's quite a few that may raise an eyebrow. Lot's has changed.

Buy Factions yet?

Bought Factions but it looks like mostly PVP or GVG stuff, not another Guild Wars per se. I love doing missions and going from towns to towns. I just might Ebay my entire life. Dunno, kinda disappointed I suppose. I really really wanted a ton of new missions.

Factions is 13 new storyline missions, and a few more fun places to visit.

If you've been away for 10 months, you probably haven't been to Sorrow's Furnace either in Prophecies, which is a hoot.

Yes, the superior rune monk (55) still works, but is a little harder in the Underworld, as they put many enchantment strippers in there. Need to pair up with a Spiteful Spirit necro to be able to do it efficiently.

There are a million new green weapons - too many to list, IMO.

The Rurik is just for your entertainment, or if you want to sell it to someone for a quick 100K and maybe a few ectos.

You bought factions so you can go to the storage agent (shes called something like that) in kainenge (factions city) or shing jea (another factions city) and buy material storage.

When you beat factions, you get an amulet of the mists which you can trade in the same area for greens that you can't get anywhere else.

55 monks still work (along with other 55's) but many used to be good spots for them have been nerfed.

In case you don't know, you get birthday presents when your character is one year old. These presents always give minipets which just look cool and do nothing else. You got lucky and got one of the rarest minipets in the game so far.

GW Nightfall has been anounced and you can find out more on http://guildwars.com/

Nothing else I can think of that might be new to you.

Welcome back!

No drastic changes, although you will notice the interface is different, and there is the addition of the Guild Wars Store. 55 monking is still around, but recently my drops haven't been as good. Probably because so many people 55 now.

Just browse the forums and you will catch back up soon :-)
